Les Coches is a purpose built village, construction was started in 1981. Most of the accommodation is apartments although there are a growing number of catered chalets. With the childcare and ski schools that can be booked, Les Coches can be a good resort for a family skiing holiday.

Ski & Snowboard Access: Les Coches is north-facing and has a number of snow-making machines so almost guaranteeing snow way beyond Easter. Les Coches has four ski lifts out of the village unfortunately two are drag lifts and the telecabine is from the highest point of the village. One can ski or snowboard back to most of the village; some accommodation is not so convenient when setting off in the morning.
The telecabine and the Plan Bois chairlift both give access to a selection of other chairlifts. When using the main la Plagne ski areas there used to be a bottleneck in Plagne Bellecote; this has now been removed by the new 8-seater Arpette chairlift. After this lift there are some great runs home to les Coches and Montchavin. Pistes such as “Dos Rond” and “Leschaux” above the tree line can be very good for the ego before one chooses between several blues and reds through the trees to get you home.

Apres Ski: There are three bars and five restaurants in Les Coches. The nearest nightclub is l’Oxygene in Montchavin.

For a touch of relaxation after a day of skiing or snowboarding around the Paradiski there are a couple of mobile massage service operating in the resort. Massage Me therapists will come to your ski chalet to provide that extra bit of holiday pampering that you are after, or Pamper Off Piste are great for mobile physiotheraphy, osteopathy, massage and beauty services in the comfort of your chalet or holiday accommodation.

Ski Schools: There are two ski schools in les Coches: the ESF and the independent ski school Evolution 2. Both provide instruction for snowboarding as well as skiing.

Hire Shops: There are seven ski hire shops which should satisfy all levels of skiing and snowboarding equipment that you may need while on your skiing holiday in les Coches.
