Plagne Villages is one of the older high altitude resorts of la Plagne. The best of the ski accommodation is found in the newer Residence Aspen at the bottom of the village. The main advantage of Plagne Villages is the excellent skiing and snowboarding access. |
| Ski & Snowboard Access: Almost all the ski apartments in Plagne Villages are genuine ski in ski out. There is an easy blue run down to Plagne Centre; nervous beginners might not like it as it is a bit narrow. | Accommodation Summary: The best quality apartments in Plagne Villages is probably the Residence Aspen available through many specialist ski travel agents. The nearest lift is approximately 300m from the Residence and you can ski or snowboard back to the apartments. A private indoor swimming pool with magnificent views is available for guests as is the sauna and steam room. Other ski chalets and accommodation is available through Snow Hounds. | Apres Ski: Nightlife in Plagne Villages is almost non-existent with just one bar and four restaurants. Plagne Soleil is nearby, alternatively there is a telecabine to Plagne Centre until late evening. There is a supermarket and a tabac near the bottom of the village. For a touch of relaxation after a day of skiing or snowboarding around Paradiski there is a mobile massage service in La Plagne. Massage Me or Pamper Off Piste will come to your ski chalet to provide that extra bit of holiday pampering that you are after. |

| Ski Schools: The ski school meeting point is very convenient at the base of Plagne Villages. The ESF ski school is satisfactory although service standards seem to fall during French holidays, group sizes and prices do not. Special beginners' ski packs are available. The independent ski school Oxygene is based in Plagne Centre which is an easy ski. The independent ski school Reflex is based in Plagne 1800 but can easily arrange to meet in Plagne Centre. The Reflex ski school is the most flexible and probably the best in la Plagne, it is not the cheapest but does provide good value. |
