Plagne Bellecote is not for those looking for a pretty Alpine ski resort. More pleasing to the eye and still at high altitude try either Belle Plagne or la Plagne 1800. The only ski accommodation in Plagne Bellecote is apartments, many of them small: there is no hotel or catered chalet. On a more positive note most apartments are reasonably priced and skiing and snowboarding access is good. For some of the apartments you would need to walk about 100m to the lifts in the morning. |
Ski & Snowboard Access: there are a number of efficient ski lifts out of Plagne Bellecote all of which are just a short walk from the ski accommodation. There are four chairlifts out of Plagne Bellecote including the new 8-seater Arpette chairlift giving access to Montchavin-les Coches; the Vanoise Express and beyond to les Arcs. Les Arcs and la Plagne were joined by this huge cable car in December 2003 to form Paradiski. Additionally, there is the 6-seater Colloses chairlift that leads to Plagne Centre and the Bellecote telecabine, which stops at Belle Plagne before continuing to the Roche de Mio (2,700m) and beyond to the glacier (3,000m).

The biggest selection of ski apartments in la Plagne is probably with:
 |
Apres Ski: The Show Time can be a good place for a late afternoon drink if you miss the last lift: there is a free bus service from about 50m away that runs every 30 minutes to Plagne Centre and Plagne 1800 – do not worry this continues until midnight. Spitting Feathers is Bellecote's latest après ski bar offering live music, a large selection of beers, snacks, live football matches and a courtesy mini bus.
There are more bars in Belle Plagne. Once the ski slopes have closed for the night the Bellecote telecabine re-opens but only as far as Belle Plagne and this is not included on your ski pass.
For a touch of relaxation after a day of skiing or snowboarding around the Paradiski there are a couple of mobile massage service operating in the resort. Massage Me therapists will come to your ski chalet to provide that extra bit of holiday pampering that you are after, or Pamper Off Piste are great for mobile physiotheraphy, osteopathy, massage and beauty services in the comfort of your chalet or holiday accommodation. |
| Ski Schools: The only ski school in Plagne Bellecote is the ESF. As with most older ski resorts in France the ski school has some good instructors and service standards seem to fall during French holidays, group sizes and prices do not reflect this. |
| Hire Shops: there are three ski hire shops which should be able to cater for all your skiing and snowboarding equipment needs. |
